New impressive tipper grabs arrive for the Water Network Maintenance teams

VLS delivered three new impressive specialist MAN 26t 6×4 Tipper Grabs for use by Northumbrian Water last month.
The VLS Commercial team worked closely with representatives from NWL’s Water Network Maintenance team to develop the specification for these new vehicles, which have replaced three older vehicles. One of the main requirements was to harness any new technology available to make the job easier for the operatives using the vehicles, and this has certainly been delivered.

NWL’s Water Network Maintenance Manager, Barry Siddle, said; “Our team has worked very closely with our VLS colleagues to develop these fantastic vehicles. The VLS team provided all of the technical information and know how and the communication has been first class.

The drivers love the new machines and say they are dream to drive. The familiarisation training for both the crane and wagon was well organised, as always, and was structured to adhere to social distancing guidelines too. The drivers left very confident in both the training and the new vehicles, which will operate out of Wallsend, Durham and Thornaby.”
