Towards the end of last year, VLS received formal confirmation of certification to the new ISO 45001 standard which has replaced OHSAS 18001.
The standard was developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts and helps organisations improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions. For many years, VLS’ Integrated Management system (IMS) has included accreditation to international standards ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental and the now replaced OHSAS 18001 safety.
The new safety standard came at the same time of the re-certification to the existing ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental standards – a great result which showcases VLS’ ongoing commitment to quality and safety standards.
